Wireless sensor networks is a science of connecting autonomous sensors and forming interface between real world data and computers providing real time remote data from places which might be remote or not frequently accessible. The way sensor data is computed and distributed is one of the main challenges in this field and with advances in computer networking this field is only getting better and is still open to fresh ideas. One of the main reasons for us to choose this project is that it is field which has lot of work going on across various universities, corporations etc., one of the main reasons being that it is multi-disciplinary i.e we have people from networking, electronics, computer sciences, mathematics etc. collaborating to create a wireless sensor network.
Objective
Our main objective is to create a website which gives users a brief indroduction to the vast field of wireless sensor networks. The information provided on this site is result of our research and data mining of this field enabling user to get brief glimpse of the following:
-
Fundamental Concepts of Wireless Sensor Networks.
- How to build a protype sensor network using commonly available Wireless Sensor Networks products.
-
Typical Applications which might give good glimpse of how varied this field is.
-
Current Research in this field.
-
Provide weblinks which might be helpful for furthur reading and understanding.
It is our honest and humble endeavour to provide as much detail to get a good picture of this highly interesting field. We do not proclaim our work to be benchmarking but it is an sincere effort in providing a brief introductory understanding.
